    Yes, its a KRINKER PLINKER but.....

    ok, before the jokes start, let me defend myself...
    i was looking to get something that was a "little brother" to my wasr 10. i've had an old 10/22 since about '85 and figured it was an excellent platform to build on. the kit itself seemed too toy-like and very lopsided and i have to admit i was totally disappointed. so i went into the shop.... it only took 2 days and 10 years of cabinet shop experience, but i managed to make my own ak furniture. took it out the other day and it shoots great. the kids love it! it fits them perfectly and doesn't put much of a dent in my wallet. the optic is junk, i just threw it on for the pic.

    not such a good varnisher

    on a side note... the mag is nothing more than a prop. its an old ramline that has had 1000's of rounds thru it and has no feed lips left. any way to salvage it? i was wondering has anyone cut the lips off a new mag and tried gluing it to another mag?

    lastly for all the jokesters and holier than thou's...i'm looking to buy a real ak.22 so you can put me in my place by selling me your akt/wasr .22! i can't find anyone that will sell and ship one to me here in the great state of CA

    Looks pretty good!
    God, grant me the serenity
    To accept the things I cannot change;
    The courage to change the things I can;
    And the wisdom to know the difference.

            the 10/22 purists have jizzum on their screens ... but compare to a WASR 22 and think real hard .

              Nice job on the furniture! It really changes the look. It looks like one of the new GSG AK-22s hitting the market right now.

                On the mag you can cut it open and use the spring assembly in one of the new aluminum machined 10/22 magazine bodys.

                          Yes you can purchase a rebuild kit for your magazines. The following 10/22 magazine looks similar to your Ramline magazine but it comes apart for easily cleaning and can be shipped in as a rebuild kit. You'll just need to find a place that has these in stock and will ship them to you as a rebuild kit. Also make sure that you don't end up with more than 1 assembled magazine while rebuilding your damaged one and you should be OK.

                              Something I've never learned over the years:

                              What exactly is a "Krinker"...?

                              I know what "plinking" is and I know that a "plinker" is a cheap rifle that is otherwise unremarkable, but fun and economical to shoot but what (pray tell) is this "krinker" that you all keep alluding to?
