I got the Fastfire 3 on my Glock 40 and it seems solid riding on the slide of a 10mm pistol. I got the Fastfire 2 for about a decade now and it’s also a solid performer. No shake to wake feature like my Sig Romeo, but the battery life on the Burris seems good enough.

Though not a Buckmark, I’ve had a FF3 on my Ruger mkiii and it’s been a great optic for me with zero issues.

I have a Match dot 4 on my 7 1/2" Tac-Sol barreled 'Mark, like it a lot. The extra weight of the optic makes for a steadier gun.

I’ve had a cheapy on mine for years, no worry about recoil battering the sight.

If you can find a cheap red dot that has fine, clear dot go with it. I got this a while back and it stays zeroed and the dot is clear for my eyes. Some dots have parallax that will transform into a bursting dot or doubling effect when moved to a certain distance from your shooting eye. It was cheap but effective.

I have a Bushnell TRS-25 on my Buckmark and a Feyachi (Amazon $47) on my Ruger Mark III Hunter. Both work fine for ringing the steel.

Venom 3MOA for the win. You can find them less than list if you look - I've bought two on CalGuns. It's like cheating when shooting- just put the dot on the target and the bullet will go there if you do your part.

Just use code "venom" all info @ https://palmettostatearmory.com/vort...tm_campaign=cl

I have a few and all work flawlessly.
Some people have problems installing battery and cover.
Did read about the battery cover flying off.

                    For me was simple.
Unscrew battery cover, turn until you can feel threads drop into starting position.
Mark the cap with a sharpie pen.
Remove cap, drop in battery, install cap with mark in same place.
                    Turn cap 360*
This is a location mark and can visually check and see if cap is starting to loosen.

                    Hope it all makes sense.

                      - Use option 3
                      - For < $250, some of Holosun reddot model below $200.

Holosun HS507K X2 has a 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle with outline cross, or both. I like both because I can pick up dot very easily and still have a 2 MOA dot if I'm shooting precisely.

$349 MSRP $249 street price or you can get the solar powered/backup version HS507C X2 for $20 more.

Both have a CR1632 coin cell battery tray where you can replace the battery without removing the whole sight. This means you don't have to realign the sight just because you changed the battery.

With reflex sights, the dot/circle are set for a focus at infinity so if you are near sighted, you need to wear your corrective lenses in order to see the dot clearly. Also if you have an astigmatism, it's possible you may never be able to see the dot clearly so be sure to try before you buy.

                        I have the HS507K X2 on my MkIV 22/45 and P320 and a 507C X2 on my PDP

Has anybody tried the Browning red dot? Requires a swap of the top strap.

I'd vote for Option #3, but I would just leave iron sights on the Saiga 762. You'll need a picatinny rail to replace the top strap on your Buck Mark, but those aren't very expensive.
