    3X prism scope on a takedown 10/22?

Anyone use one? It seems nice and compact. A typical 1-6x LPVO seems too big and chunky for a 10/22. Being a takedown, it's probably going to get banged around in the backpack thing, and prisms are tough. I can't see any more so I need a magnified optic of some sort.

I've not seen a prism sight that isn't set up to run on an AR, which would probably be a bit high to be comfortable on 10/22. If you find one with a low mount I like your idea in theory.

Also, look into a barrel mount for your takedown scope. Otherwise you might be having to zero each time you take it down. Speaking from Ruger 10/22 research.

That sounds like a good setup to me... get some magnification and have a focus ring, win win.

I have a Nikon M-Tact 1-4 LPVO on one PCC... and it works well but you have to mount it right IMHO... low as possible and make sure it fits you and the stock and gives you good eye relief and cheek weld. I tried a couple scopes and mounts before figuring out what works. That is a pretty small LPVO.

I run the Primary Arms 22lr LVPO on low rings. I use a Magpul takedown stock with the cheek riser, works perfectly.

Zeroing hasn't too been off, at least for my purposes with it.
