Sorry to see the troubles you are having..I would just return it and wait for the check..I do not think there are any Companys out there that would refund the money without having the items returned first, Not even Walmart..If it takes two weeks, so be it..A two week wait is better than owning the paper weight right?

You do not have to have invested in any paper weight..Just return it and be happy they will send a refund, there are alot of companys that would just say, screw you..You bought it, you own it....I would ask that they pay your return shipping too though..If not eat that loss and move on..

Ask for a prepaid return label, ship it to them, wait the two weeks. Cash the check, buy a Marvel or a Nelson Custom. About 50% more $, but will be right. They are widely considered to be excellent.

Kimber used to be able to do OK, I bought one used several years ago and it works fine for me. My Advantage Arms Glock conversions works, too, but I've never tried their 1911 ones.

I do not own anything fancy like a Nelson or Marvel..Just a lowly Colt upper conversion But mine is kinda special..I had a spare barrel here so I modified the barrel so I can swap things out from .22 to shoot .17 HM2 in a few minutes also..Seems Kimber may have made one in .17HM2 also..

I hear those Marvels and Nelsons are top notch..

My son and I both have Kimber kits, his on his Kimber and mine on my Gold Cup. Both kits run flawlessly with Mini-mags or other high speed ammo and are accurate at 25-50 yards..

I would take them up on their offer to issue a complete refund.

I agree with Kimber's position re the unit being returned first, although signing off on a disclaimer, if accurate, seems unwarranted.

Curious what the disclaimer will say. You probably already broke it

Dam that’s a bummer to hear OP. I purchased a Kimber 1911 Stainless earlier this year and thankfully it’s been pretty good thus far.
I took a chance as well since this isn’t the first issue about Kimber I’ve read and heard.
