I searched wide and far for one in 22 WMR, finally scored one from another Calgunner new in box. He gave me a great deal on it along with some ammo. Really wanted the mag for a little more reach, it’s a tack driver probably my favorite rimfire. Have a couple 22lr a semi custom 10/22 clone and a Ruger American, they both shoot great too. But that mag is my favorite and 22mag is still plentiful and only about $10 for a box of 50, so not breaking the bank to shoot it.

Hope you can find one, they are a nice platform especially for the cost.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

I had one in .22lr, it was really no more accurate than my souped up 10/22, but it weighed a ton more.

              It just wasn't for me.

I bought in the classifieds, and sold it in the classifieds. It was a good rifle, just not for me.

Really? Where? I can barely find .22 for that. Magnum is nearly .223 price.

My first rifle was a .22 Magnum because it was the cheapest one in the store. I later found out why - the cost of the ammo. Yes, it's flatter and faster, with real jacketed bullets. You still can't use it (legally) for anything you can't use a .22 lr for.

I find it on line often on sale, the usual places Target Sports, etc. recently saw boxes of 50 for $9.99, in one of the many email ammo adds I receive can’t remember which one. I’m pretty well stocked in it so didn’t buy. I also picked up three boxes at the Walmart in Benson a couple months back, think it was $11.99. But they are hit and miss on WMR, always have 22lr though.

I've been eyeing a CZ457 in .22mag. Prolly going to get one soon. Never had a CZ before so might as well add one to the stable. I have a crap load of Rugers already so..... B.

I’ve been seeing the CZ 457 American for $419 at Sportsman’s and Savage B22 Precision for $599. If the RPRimfire can be converted from 22WMR to 22LR like the CZ 457, I’d probably bought one in 22WMR already. Currently have three 22LR rifles: 10/22 w/ heavy barrel, Rem 521T-JS and Marlin Papoose. Have a few 10/22 mags already, main reason for RPRimfire preference. Just got the itch for the tacticool looking RPRimfire that’s all.
Have you called Reeds in Santa Clara...they always have a good selection of 22 rifles...I'm always struggling to control the pocketbook when I peruse their collection.

For example, they had a CZ 457 Varmint Precision Trainer MTR that I fought hard to ignore...the siren song was beckoning..I just had to walk away. I kept seeing that damn thing every time I went shooting there lol. Nothing wrong with getting another CZ 457 I guess...but the safe is filled to the gills.

As of now I haven’t considered driving that far. I was told there should be some coming in, I hope sooner than later.

I was there today...I didn't see one. Well, if you reserve one, the guys in the shop are super cool. I saw three of those sweet cz457s in those sick Manners stocks...
