GSG iron sights - anything better out there?

Like the title says, has anyone seen anything that's better that the stock GSG sights. Maybe something that resembles the Tech-Sights that are available for the 1022 and SKS?

I'm less than satisfied with the GSG's iron sights, there's no way to make accurate, repeatable adjustments for elevation or windage.

What have you done to make your GSG iron sights better?

I know there are many scope options out there, that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking about iron sights options.
It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.

Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Its pretty tuff. I was at the range this Saturday with so/so results hitting 2" steel targets at 50 yards on the GSG's irons. My Spiks ST-22 runs circles around the GSG.

From my experience the only way to get that accuracy you are looking for out of your GSG is by getting some type of optic. I recommend a 1 or 2 MOA size dot. I had a 4 MOA red dot optic on it and it was way too big for my style shooting.

I do know that you can swap out the rear site with a real HK rear site. George at RRAGES.com should be selling these soon. I have no idea if they will fix your problem however.

Supposedly, you can use a real HK MP5 rear sight.

      Here:
Iron SightsUpdate for Rear Iron Sight - GSG has made an adjustable rear iron sight for windage and elevation. They are available now.Since the "Original GSG-5" rear iron sight has no elevatio

IMO, the problem is that the front post is too fat, and makes it hard to focus on anything far.

Does anybody know how the rear sight adjustments are made? Which peep hole are you guys using?

At 40-50 yards the Tallest peephole seemed to work for me. I dont understand them myself. Just played around with them until something worked.

I think you are fighting a loosing battle here. If you want further accuracy out of the gun your only real option is going to be throwing some optics on it.

Has anyone tried filing down one of they're extra front posts to a point or thinner post? Would it help?

When the notch sight is on the ejector port side you will be looking through the 100m hole, this is also good at 25m.

With the notch opposite the ejector port you will be looking through the 25m hole.

With the notch away from you, you will be looking through the 50m hole.

It...gives me a general idea of where i'm pointing the thing, but other than that, I have no idea how that one works

Thanks for that info. Although I dont think any of them work as intended. Either that or the gun just isnt that accurate.

My Spikes on irons blows my GSG away as far as accuracy is concerned. On the GSG's behalf I am pretty sure my Lothar barrel will blow away most modded 10/22's.
