    62A ammo

Just took my never fired by me Win mdl 62A outa the safe, cleaned it good and thought to myself: had this thing for 50 years, why not try it out? Strip, clean and oil it 1x every year. Thinkin bout standard velocity .22 ammo, but no idea as to brand. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance...captn-tin

I don’t think you can go wrong with CCI.

Post pictures, if you can. Those were neat little rifles.

Man, hang on to that rifle!

As true w/other rifles, standard velocity will give the best accuracy, but CCI mini mags (40 grn solid points) are my go to as they are a bit cheaper. I don’t like the Winchester Xpert (sp?) and that Remington bucket-o-bullets as they are really dirty. Other than those (2), I run whatever else since the rifle is a pump action.

Winchester 62A, what a classic pump. Please post a picture if you can. Share the joy with us.
