Damn..... I have a pair of those. They sure have appreciated from the $100 and $200 buy-in many years ago. The scoped one wins the local bench rest matches for me on a pretty regular basis.

Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Yeah, I looked over the Bid history. $495 with sights would have been a decent price.

I've got several M12's and an M5200, which is a civilian version of the M12 in a walnut stock.

I got the last one at an auction for $308 about 18 months ago. Didn't come with sights, but it did have a Ken Vianni scope rail. Also discovered that a prior owner had bedded the auction.

The reason I posted it was because you rarely see them with the Palma/ Olympic sights ( like mine came from the CMP with) $1,200.. wow, think CMP price was $225. These are tack drivers though.

Yep of the three that I have, one came with a Redfield International sight, one came with no sights, one came with no sights but a Ken Vianni scope rail.

I did glom a Redfield Palma sight, however, shortly after getting my latest M12.

The one that came with the International had some stock mods done. The work was not pretty, but the rifle was very cheap and the mods do not seem to have affected the shootability.

My M5200 also came without sights, but I was able to get a Vianni Rail before he stopped making them.

Yeah, the sights alone are worth $200+.

I gave $485 for mine new about 4-5 years ago without sights, an estate sale. It cost me another $300 to secure a Palma/Olympic combo. I have the Viani rail on mine too, a fine piece of kit. I also run a Palma on my Kimber 82G with an Annie adapter.

The prior owner of my most recently purchased M12 glass bedded it at some point.
