    Scope Suggestions for GSG 5

    I saw this one.

But is it really that good?

Bushnell makes a similar one for alot cheaper that is also smaller.

    ?

Any others I should be looking into?

No experiences with the other scopes but that sightmark red dot works great for me and that is a good price for one.

They seem to be cheaper everywhere else (about $50) but I'm thinking they don't come with the mounting rings, and since that price includes shipping it seems pretty good.

It's a nice looking scope, but i'd be concerned about it's (however slight) interference with the cocking handle. No more HK slap, that's for sure. I guess you could release the handle with your left thumb, with your fingers along the side of the barrell.

I see what you mean, but wouldn't that go for any scope you could attach?

get their 3x magnifier combo and put them inline

might be a bit tight on the mp5 style claw mount, but if you can find a rail extender, it might work

personally I find non-magnified just fine, i don't really shoot past 50 yards with the gsg-5

the combo is $188, not a bad deal

You really don't need one, iron sights are all you need. But to each his own. First shoot it to see how accurate you are with it then decide wether you need one or not.

The GSG 5's irons suck and I need magnification to shoot out to or past 100 yards. While my friend is plinking golf balls out past 100 yards, that I can't even see I have trouble even seeing the target at 100 yards.

I can't decide between the following.

It looks like the rings on this one will lift the scope out of the way of the charging handle and Iron sight.

Currently I have this one I don't think it has enough magnification. But it might be ok. Problem is that it hits the charging handle. I have another rail on the way to test it with but I can;t see it getting any better.

The other one I'm looking at is this one.

It looks like the best option? But how does it mount up? Do I need to remove the rear iron? If not does it clear the charging handle? What rail mount will this work the best with?

I just got this red dot for my GSG-5: http://www.opticsplanet.net/barska-2...e-ac11090.html

I wanted it because of the 2X magnification. I haven't shot it yet, but so far it fits well, looks ok and doesn't block the cocking handle. I've had good luck with Barska products. I think you get a lot for your money.

Have you ever shot a GSG? Becuase if you have you would know that you DO need an optic for it. I have a GSG and a Spikes dedicated build. Both using irons the Spikes runs circles around the GSG.

I ended up getting the 4x Sightmark, for $50 it seems like a good buy. The NC Star looks nice just ran out of cash since I got laid off. The 4x Sightmark does need taller rings to not inter fear with the cocking handle.

http://www.RRAGES.com is going to send me some taller rings when they come in, but yes it does come with them. George has to be the best person I have ever purchased anything from.
