Just started the dros on this today and wanted to see if you guys know if I can change the handguard on it?

I saw a video where the guy removed the handguard and there was a barrel shroud underneath.

You guys know if the mp5 triangle handguard will fit this model?

If you can point me in the right direction, I should be able to take it from there.

I've searched high and low and can't seem to find anything about swapping it out for something else. No images, no vids, no topics on threads

I want this one, any know if this will fit?

I just don't know if there is a place for the pin under the stock handguard to attach this too like the real mp5s. My gsg16 has the pin. Can someone verify for me please?

You should have bought the A5 version from a while back.

It will not work. You would need a new forearm, cocking tube, front sight assembly, and fake can to convert from SD to A5.

The cocking tube of the SD does not have the boss for the pin you are asking about. There is a different cocking tube for the A5. And the front sight assembly of the SD may prevent the A5 forearm going on at all, or if it would fit it would look goofy as heck.

Thanks guys! I saw that thread Scotty. Guess I'm outta luck. Anyone k own where I can get an A5 model in CA? The wtb forum is a scam waiting to happen [emoji19]
