I think they are pretty small and just make these uppers in small batches because they always sell out very quickly. I know they're not like PSA who can crank out some serious volume of uppers.

I bought a PSA upper a few years back. My hand guard is a little longer but it's probably the same upper overall. When I first got it it was very inconsistent. I had feeding problems, ejection problems, light primer strikes. It took a l lot of work but I did remedy all the problems and now it works great. Let me know if you run into any problems.

Thank you all for providing so rich information in selecting my .22 upper. Just an update that I finally switched to order one from BCA (subscribed their notice and got a notice and ordered immediately).

Got bad experience with PSA customer service in trying to find if it is known issue that their upper has any reported problems to work work with Aero lower. However, their Online Chat never live, phone call always has >1 hour waiting time. The only way to reach them is through their website contact submission, which was answered in a day or two but just simply repeat to say the only guarantee is to work with PSA lower, always repeat what posted on their website and ignore my questions completely, and like to talk to a auto answer machine. Although it may be the standard business practice for them to say so, but that was not a pleasant experience. So, start looking for substitute and found one from BCA.

I will update the result after I try with BCA.

Just a quick report that I switched to order a BCA, but got really bad problems of FTF and FTE, when I tried to load the first round using the charging handle. Tried all 4 types of ammos I have an 3 of them could hardly loaded. Had to return it.

Huh, that's disappointing. I keep thinking about grabbing one of their side chargers.
I shot the heck out of my PSA one this last week and it continues to run great. Occasional live round stuck in the chamber, solved by closing the bolt and firing it, but I haven't cleaned the chamber in thousands of rounds, which always leads to that problem. When clean, it goes through a bunch of bulk packs before starting to have issues.

I use a Better-Mag adapters and S+W M+P15 - 22 mags

I do have a spring, a buffer, and a tacom plug

I noticed you are using A2 grip and flash hider. I guess this is ok for 22lr. What if I have also centerfire uppers (I have one 556/223 upper also)? In other words, is it safe/legal to own a featured lower and 556/223/upper at the same time while maintain not putting the 556/223 upper on a featured lower?

I almost completed my 22lr upper (with CMMG barrel and collar) and wondering if I should build a dedicated featured lower to be used with 22lr upper, just like the one you showed.

as long as you aren't using that lower with a semi, center fire upper, it's fine.

it is not an assault weapon if the halves are not together.

and a 22lr is not center fire, so it does not fall under the assault weapon and is allowed to have a pistol grip, collapsible stock, flash hider, etc


and that 25 rd magazine was a 10rd that was modified during freedom week 2019

I would not buy a plastic SW...They may function and look fine..But they are a plastic toy compared to a "real" dedicated AR22. I despise any plastic Firearms..LOL

This reminds me of a SciFi book where a group boarded a space station that spun to create "gravity" and a young crewman said "these people aren't advanced enough to create real artificial gravity"

The AR is the original plastic "Mattel-16"

Personally, I would get her a 10/22 or maybe a Marlin 924 or Savage bolt action rifle with a scope. Less expensive, shoots more accurately and might keep her interest in shooting better if she sees that she can hit an acorn at 25 yards.
