I've fired a couple of PT-22's, reliability was good, accuracy was 2-3" at 15yds, the trigger pull was smooth but very long. I'm not a big fan of small .22 autos but if that's what you’re looking for the Taurus is a much better choice than any of the striker fired zinc alloy pistols

It's quite comfortable to hold and shoot, unlike most small guns out there. Reasonably accurate for such a small gun. It likes to be well lubricated, and if you use dirty ammo (Federal bulk pack, for instance), it'll give you 50-70 rounds before you start seeing issues. With decent ammo, such as CCI Mini-mags, it runs fine for the entire range session or two.

That being said, it seems like a lot of guys sell their women short and buy them a .22. If it's for plinking, fine, if it's for defense, get her something more robust.

Bah, should have checked the list. This would have been just a pure plinking/fun/novelty gun for her. Too bad...

Get a Walther P22
initial ones had issues but new (modens starting with the letter N) models are almost perfect
its small enough for a women but big enough for most men.
and dont worry about the slide being zinc
it wont break as long as you dont slam in on the ground of some such thing.

I have one. It ihas a problem with light strikes and stove pipes. It is accurate though for a small pistol.

x2 on the p22. very ergonomic desingn. fun to shoot. and ive had no problems shooting 1k rounds of the cheap stuff with no problems.

Thanks for the info, I might get the p22 for myself, lol. The woman has no problems shooting the bigger calibers, she's just really into getting a pink gun
