    Ruger Mark II Question

Have any of you fired the Winchester Super Speed 37gr .22LR 1330FPS High Velocity Plated HP in your Ruger Mark II ?
    How did it do?
Is it to powerful to use in the Mark II?
    How were your shot groups?

Also can I use the .22LR Mini mags in it or is it a different round entirely?

Never shot that particular ammo, but it shouldnt be any different than any other high velocity .22lr. High velocity stuff works great in my MKI and should have no probs in your MKII. I have shot everything from .22short to .22lr subsonic to CCI velociters and 60 gr Aguila SSS rounds in my MKI, and all work well as long as they clear the feed ramp.

CCI Mini Mags in .22LR are just high velocity .22LR rounds. They work fine. In fact they are advised as the minimum for many semi-auto .22lr pistols to cycle the action. You are lucky in that the Ruger MK series is not that picky about ammo and will shoot sub sonic and supersonic ammo without issue as long as the bullets feed.

Some rounds won't feed well because of mag and feed ramp issues. For instance, Remington Golden whatever bulk pack won't feed reliably in my MKI, but Fed bulk pack and most of the others feed fine.

Mini Mag is just a marketing term. as long as the caliber is marked .22LR, you are fine. I have shot lots of .22 Long, and .22 Short out of my MKI as well and while they won't usually cycle the action, they work fine. .22Mag is a much longer and more powerful round. It shouldn't chamber in your gun though, so it isn't really an issue.

Just make sure you don't try to shoot .17Mach2 and you'll be fine.
