    Chiappa 22 uppers

Anyone know where any are available for CA sale? I haven't found any in stock with 10 rds or no mag.
Any idea what the gen II updates are? They say "updated" but I don't know what. I had tried one of the earlier m4 types and it was great. Now all I see online is the newer free float handguard types with no front sight.

Take this for what my advice is worth to you..

But I would avoid the Chiappa completely..Buy or assemble a good upper with quality parts like from CMMG, RTB...Spend the extra money, and I think you will be much happier in the end..Your money though..Just some friendly free advice

Thanks. Every time I check PSA, they're out of stock for 22's. And CMMG discontinued their 22 uppers I thought years ago. ???
Thanks for the input for sure.

I do not think CMMG discontinued anything. I have never bought a complete upper from them though..Just barrels and bolt groups to build my own Rifles..

I am sure they still sell those..Good Luck whatever route you take.

I bought one several years ago and it was functional and worked fine, for the price. I don't like the magazines it came with and it wasn't flawless. I sold it and bought a dedicated PSA 22lr upper that has been fantastic, and only cost like 80 bucks more shipped.

If on a budget, the Chiappa works ok, but I wouldn't buy another one if I was looking.

So the CMMG website says they aren't taking any more orders until they catch up on shipping. Whenever that is
Thanks though. Its crazy that I remember years ago when I looked, PSA was continuously out of the 22 uppers back then also. Jeez.

              Nordic 22 upper

Nordic Components' 22RB Dedicated 22 Upper converts your AR15-pattern rifle into a dedicated 22 rimfire just by changing upper receivers.

I have a chiappa M4-22 GEN II PRO UPPER 7.8" QUAD rail22LR/16"BBL. Didn't like that the upper was polymer, replaced the polymer upper with a stripped upper and used most of the parts of the polymer upper. Has been good to me for a few years now. Has not given me any problems.

I grabbed a CA legal 10 rnd CMMG bolt conversion from lanbos armory, got it quick, drops right in my PSA 556 midlength upper and runs like a dream with everything as long as its 1000+fps.

Chiappa is lower quality and to be avoided. Just buy a CMMG made barrel from Right to Bear and add a $39 Anderson lightweight or 9mm upper to it.

Haven't shot mine yet, but got the Bear Creek Arsenal version. Got some extra Black Dog magazines and a scope mount in recently and will try to put scope on and take out this weekend to Burro. Will report how it works.

Absolutely the best advice CHIAPPA = AVOID!!!!!

Some years back I bought one of their 22 UPPERS based on "special Veteran pricing" for me. Took it to the range and many issues including not firing, or firing out of battery and I can't remember what else was on the list. Tried contacting Chiappa Customer Service, they never responded to emails or phone calls. Finally gave up and decided if anything has Chiappa on it I wouldn't go anywhere near it and encourage the same advice to others.

Deal with Chiappa at your own risk, some have had better luck.

PSA complete .22 uppers are worth the wait. They seem to release a new batch every 4-5 months. Get on their notification list and be patient.

Mine is accurate and eats most ammo without issues. Had to replace a firing pin after 3,000 rounds but customer service took care of it and I was back at the range happy.
