    Star Modl F grips

I got bored the other day and made a set of American Elk grips for my old Engraved Model F..Not great, but I do like them better than the repro plastics that were on there before..She is full pimped now

C'mon man, you know "Full Pimped" would require pearl grips!
Those look 100% better! I keep looking at those, trying to imagine what they would look like with a little tea stain on them? I might have to talk you into making me a set for my S-1, and it's full pimped.

        You're quite a craftsman-matches the pistol's patina. Good job!

          Thanks

Trap I do not know if I am good enough to do any work for someone else..

One problem with using American Elk, it is iffy as far as having enough material to work with with wider grips..I have found American Elk that had enough material for a set of Revolver grips once..

          Here is the left side..

            Trap

I went ahead with tea treatment as you suggested. Good call.I like them alot..Gives em a aged look of course..

But, I went to upload a photo from my camera..And discovered my little monster grandone broke my card reader in half. So it is on my camera, but cannot go any further..Hate to tea-se you with no photo,LOL But maybe I can have the wife help with her phone to get it posted..

I got a Vintage Hunter Holster in the mail today..It is brand new in the box and made specifically for the Star F, fits really nice..Kinda amazing the guy had the holster actually, let alone NITB

Perfect! Just enough to give it what I had in my minds eye. Once in awhile I have a good idea, and no one had to hold my beer!
Nice score on the holster! I had a hard time finding one for my S-1, but found a near new Bianchi high ride thumb break for a Colt .380, and it fits like a glove.

Thanks for the tip on the Tea..I appreciate that..I really will not use the Holster a whole lot..But kinda cool to have a brand new old stock one that fits it so perfect..
