Relining a 22lr Barrel

Does anybody know someone of a gunsmith in Southern California who can reline a 22lr Barrel on a Browning SA-22? I bought it cheap because the barrel is slightly bulged from a stuck bullet. It is a Belgium model so I want to keep it original and not get a Miroko barrel.

I had Red at Bain & Davis reline a Remington about 25 years ago and he did a great job. I would prefer not to ship it somewhere if I can find someone local.

I do them myself..But I have some experience at it and tools to do it..That may or may not be the case for you..

I would search for reputable Gunsmiths within a 100 mile radius and see what comes up..

I would think there would be a older matching barrel out there also..That may end up a cheaper option than having it relined.. Good Luck with it..

I have a Browning .22 Buck Mark with a slight bulge in the barrel. Still a VERY accurate handgun. I shoot spent shotgun shells with it out to 30 or more yards. There may be no need to do anything with your barrel.

is the bulge visible or is it just like a ring in the inside have you checked its accuracy ? as long as the muzzle is ok it should still work fine

The accuracy is acceptable. I get about 2 1/2 inches at 50 yds. My other Browning is better about 1 1/4 inch at 50 yds. It does foul the barrel more and the accuracy does drop off after about 100 rounds because it gets dirty.
