Cutting edge does really cool stuff. I've been watching this project since they announced it. For the folks who are set up with the rifle and skills to get something out of it, it's pretty exciting.

These have to have a lot more resistance in the barrel than a waxed lead bullet. Any chrono data on bullets of similar weight to lead?

1/7 would mean using an AR twist barrel. If these solid copper bullets shoot well it would be an alternative to the crappy CCI copper, required for hunting here.

Seems like a lot of effort/cost for a .22LR. 224 would be better.

The 32gn CE bullets shoot fine in a regular 1:16 barrel. I shoot them ~1400fps, about MOA at 50 yards, 1-1/2MOA at 100 yards - a lot better than the crappy commercial non-lead 22 ammo. I have tried the heavier bullets yet, I am waiting on fast twist barrels.

Loading them is pretty tedious, my fingers are too big for those tiny little cases.

Would that ammo be considered to be "armor piercing" in California?

because there is little information available i assume the results are lack luster at best

Why would that be consider armor piercing when there are lots of other copper bullets in use? And hope could a 22LR have enough power to pierce armor anyway?

CE did tell me that all of their bullets were approved for hunting in CA. The list on the CFW web site does not list all of them, but CE says the list is simply out of date.

None of the copper bullets available to buy are beryllium copper.
