The Waiting is the Hardest Part

Tandekross is sending me a Fireswitch mag release, and Tech Sight is sending me their TS100 sight set. Both for review. I guess Ruger has stopped including the backpack? but now sends out a clamshell carry bag. Is the backpacker bag worth buying? I’ve got a Savior Rifle bag, with backpack straps, so I think I’m covered.

I’m thinking about an after market trigger. The BX is tempting at just $80. What are some of you favorite mods for the Ruger 10/22 take-down?

I have done a Brimstone trigger job on a 10-22; that worked out very well. Not a takedown.

Agree with Bob the bolt release is the best mod.

What accuracy / use will you have for the 10/22 take down? It is not really a target rifle, and with the take down I would be hesitant to dump a lot of $$$ for accuracy improvements. Make no mistake it can be accurate, but you can also get very slight shifts with take down/reassembly. Even after adjusting, bolt cycling , etc.

My favorite accessory is the volquartsen barrel with cantilever scope mount. No accuracy shift as the optic is attached to the barrel. Spendy but very nice!
