    Ruger Tactical 10/22

    Hi Gunners,

I just picked up a Ruger Tactical 10/22 for a project. It didn't come with a brake. The FFL, Barnwood, said that's how Ruger shipped it to them.

Anyone else experience this, is this a Kali deal? PAX

Ruger does not list a specific UPC # for the 10/22 Tactical for the CA market.

The factory standard version of the 10/22 Tactical (model #1261, UPC #7-36676-01261-9) is CA legal as is.

Mine did. I think it's the same brake as a Mini 14.

It's no super bit deal, but I'd like to have the brake. PAX

I bought a ruger tactical 10/22 last year. Looks like a basic stainless/alum 10/22 with black polymer furniture with 16" threaded barrel with the extended ar style flash hider.

You can just replace with a flash hider from an AR, same thread and laws are different for something in a22lr.

Make sure you get a nice thick recoil pad too.

Sounds like someone at the store swiped it.

The barrel has no threads, front sight, or dove tail cut for rear sight. I already sold off the barrel and synth stock. I just needed an action for a gangster style Tommy gun kit. PAX

Which Tommy Gun are you going with?

Our very own ojisan used to be 1022fungun and had some really cool stuff.

Lefty versions were just released. American Rifleman has a write up on them this month.

This little guy (not my picture). Had a line on a Squad Leader too, but I didn't have my real ID with me at the transfer of it, and the seller wouldn't wait for me to fetch it. PAX

Ojisan sent me a nice handpicked set of furniture (birthday present to myself).

I found a GM finned barrel and swapped out the "sights" for Tech-Sights that actually work.

                            It's the one on top.

The finned barrels are out of production except for the 12" units. The manufacturer won't sell you one with out a SBR stamp.

I've got 10/22's in a Bull pup, TacStar, wood, and side folder too. PAX
