10/22 sounds different after first few rounds?

"Remington big box ammo"
I have had highly mediocre performance from American ammo makers over the years and sometimes a weak load that cycles the semi auto will sound different. Sound is a subjective opinion, so...
Inspect your rifles internals and verify things are a least mechanically normal condition and then try some other ammo. Re-test.
Without hearing it myself I have to put forward my best WAG. ^ -

No it was dry, usually run a patch with cleaner/dry line on it but couldn’t find my 22 rod
I had no function or accuracy changes, and it was always after the first few rounds. Of course I can run other ammo through it, but for the first few of every mag to have more power than the last seven?
I’m gonna try making a run to the range in a couple weeks I’ll take different ammos with me and gonna get a buddy to meet me see if he can help me figure it out.
I’ll get some audio when I go too.
Thanks guysComment

Yeah, I would try several different brands of ammo just to see if it's the ammo---another thing you can do---if you wanna risk it---is to fire the rifle without hearing protection---I've done it with 22 LR rifles many times before---they simply are not loud enough to be a problem... DO NOT TRY THIS WITH ANY OTHER CALIBER THAN 22 LR FROM A RIFLE---PISTOLS IN 22 LR ARE VERY LOUD---so don't fire your 22 pistols without hearing protection... 22 Magnum is MUCH LOUDER ALSO!
I've really never heard of the situation you described...Comment

What does the Chrono say, are the velocities inconsistent more than usual? If you don't have a chrono consider getting one, it's one of the most useful tools you can have. You don't need the most expensive or computer connect kind, even a cheap chrono that works is good enough if its for casual use.
If the gun is functioning normally for your experience, the POI isn't shifting around, the velocities are in the usual range, an examination of the spent cases don't show splitting or other unusual signs, you don't notice sudden increased wear on internal action parts then maybe just chalk it up to perception rather than something else.
A Chrono will let you know a great deal about the quality of ammo from a velocity deviation standpoint. That doesn't always mean its the ammo though, a worn pitted barrel that is cleaned well in a 22 can quickly catch buildup and you'll notice some changes in how it sounds when fired but that is a pretty unusual case and usually happens with older 22s that have been neglected over time. Lots of people never clean their 22s, they just shoot them once in a while.Let Go of the Status Quo!
Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?
Think past your gun, it's the last resort, the first is your brain.
