Need help on a marlin 980s

Alright y'all, I need your wisdom!!

I just bought a used 980s and whenever I slide the bolt forward it likes to drop the magazine out. I don't really have Internet where I'm at so I can't search the web for the problem or fix.

If anybody has info at all for me on this I would appreciate it, if the problem isn't worth fixing I'll just return it on my trip home

Does the mag even lock in place? Lock tab may be slightly bent and require some tweeking to get just right.
