Got the itch since getting done with my Winder Musket in 17 HM2.
I have a Colt 1911 .22 conversion..I had some barrel liner here, a spare Colt 22 barrel and floating chamber, and a .17 HM2 reamer...Well now my 1911 shoots both 22 LR and .17 HM2 with a quick barrel swap..I have not shot it for accuracy yet..Just plinking..But I ran over 200 rounds through it for mostly function testing..Nice little addition..
The Colt 1911 22 upper is the perfect candidate for this conversion, in both ease and safety for running 17 HM2 in a semi auto for a few reasons..
It does have one quirk..It does not run well on the original Colt mags..But the GSG mags I have, it runs great..
I have two semi auto Mach 2s and a single shot now..I like the little round alot..
