    Walther 416 Pistol

Anyone familiar with these 22lr's and how to ensure they are CA compliant now? I hear this and that, forum search shows disagreements with what applies (because its rimfire) and what doesn't. Then there's the overall limit, magazine outside the grip, its not centerfire debate....etc, etc..

Just trying to find someone who is familiar with this pistol 7.5" barrel and what it needs be to CA compliant. Some clarity without me having to read 4 books and flowcharts that apply to all guns when really I'm just trying to find info on this specific gun.. would be GREATLY appreciated!

The gun is off-roster so it can not be sold by FFL's within CA.
That means to get one, you have to do some sort of transfer that is roster exempt such as a private party transfer or an act-of-law intra-familiar transfer.

Rimfire does not solve the problem for pistols being considered an AW by the state of CA.
A semi-auto rimfire pistol with a detachable magazine outside of the pistol grip is an assault weapon.
Fixing the magazine into the reciever solves the CA assault weapon issue.
