What .22LR do I want to use?

I just fitted my 9mm CZ75 Compact with the Kadett II .22LR Adapter kit.

    What do I want to feed this? 40gr? 36gr? Brand(s) ??

I don't have any other .22 firearms so have nothing to compare to.

    Thx.

It loves CCI mini mags, (like most 22 semis) but if you keep
it clean and oiled most 36g or 40g copper nose should cycle.

I shoot whatever on sale, if the sale price is not too far from CCI MiniMag's price then I shoot CCI MiniMag. On all of my guns, 36 or 40 gr don't make any difference.

          Start with CCI Minimags.

If it doesn’t like other brands just let me know and I’ll come pick them up.
          I have lots of 22s.

Maybe this would be a good excuse for you to get a .22 revolver.

Right now, shoot whatever you can find.

The ABSOLUTE BEST ,22lr round I have found for conversion kits is Remington Viper. Unfortunately it is now unobtanium.

Like other posters here, mini-mags are your best bet.

I've had 100% reliability and tight groups from a Browning 1911-22 with it's crappy, replica G.I. sights using Federal Auto Match. Surprisingly consistent, clean.

Thanks for the feedback gents; it's much appreciated.

Gotta make the rounds (no pun intended) of my local FFLs tomorrow to see what's on the shelf.

Not a bad idea to have a .22 revolver (or bolt action rifle) on hand. Great fun to plink with, and will shoot whatever .22 is available without having to worry about whether it will cycle the action.

If you really want to have some fun, while you are out hunting ammo see if you can find one of those wonderful CZ 452, 453, 455, or 457 rimfire rifles to go with your CZ 75 Compact.

Good advice on ammo from the members.
One thing you should not change is the hammer main spring, if you change to a lighter spring it will cause light strikes.
It happened to me on my SP01, went back to the stock original and it works like a charm.
                            Have fun!
