    Ciener .22lr kit for AR

Are these ok to use with a 1/7 twist chromed upper? Anything that I should be careful of? I wouldn't want to risk damage to my upper, if that was even possible.
    Thanks

Thats all that I used mine in for the first year I had it, but once I switched it to my 1/9 upper I noticed the groups were better with the same ammo. Maybe the faster twist is too much for it.
Ammo that I found works well is the Fed bulk pack and the other one i'm not sure if it's federal too, but it says "xpert" or something with an "X" also a bulk pack. The rem gold bullet wouldn't extract reliably for me.
Have fun shooting on the cheap!

You won't damage anything unless you shoot too much .22lr without firing off a few .223/5.56's to clean out the gas system. You shouldn't go more than about 500 rounds of .22lr without firing 2-3 rounds of 5.56 to clean things up. Also, after shooting .22 and cleaning things up with the 5.56, ALWAYS clean the gun when you get home from the range session.

The 5.56 blows all the gas tube debris into the receiver and gas system inside the bolt/carrier. You really want to clean this up before the next time you go out.

Accuracy will suffer though because the 1/7 is just too fast for the small lightweight .22lr bullets.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

I had good luck cleaning the gas tube myself, spray gun scrubber down the tube, get a air nozzle with a small 6 inch tip that fits in the barrel perfectly and plug up the chamber end with your finger. Then blast some air and the gun scrubber shoots out the tube, showing its clear of the fouling. Been doing that for a while, and the last time I shot 223 there was no cycling issues as I had in the past from not cleaning it. Even if you dont do anything the 223 will blow it clean after 5-7 shots, you just have to chamber a round manually until it clears.
