    5 MM Remington.

Scrolling through the gun sites today and saw an article on the old 5 MM on TFB.

I had totally forgotten about this cartridge, despite really, really wanting one as a kid. Whose got some good 5 MM stories?

I have a buddy who has owned one forever, still uses it for hunting and swears by it. Before the online ammo sales ban in CA I used to help him source ammo online. I think there was one company that made a big run of ammo a couple times a year.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

I also lusted for one of these as a teenager. I think Aguila makes or made ammo for it recently. It probably needs to be ordered as I doubt that many places stock it.

Stopped in a hardware store in Northern Ca a long time ago and even though the stuff was obsolete then they had a few bricks sitting there. I was tempted to buy it all up, it was cheap.

Now that the 20 is semi-acceptable, I yearn for a new rimfire in 5mm. A bit more weight that the 17, higher velocity than the 22 mag and not the really hot super mag.

Dump the HM2 and round things out with a 20. Who needs it? No one. Who wants it? Plenty I bet. Savage could push out their semi-autos in a 20 without too much work.

Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?

Think past your gun, it's the last resort, the first is your brain.

Defense is a losing proposition when time is on the side of the opponent. In the history of humanity, no defense has ever won against an enemy with time on their side.

I'm a junkie for oddballs, so I'd love one of these, despite having a .17 Hornet for all my small varminting needs.

I had to look it up. Aguila makes the ammo still under the “Centurian” brand.
