    Remington 512P

Hello, I recently purchased a Remington 512P. The peep sight appears to be missing. It does not have grooves in the receiver. I am looking to buy a peep sight that fits and functions. If anyone can assist it would be a help, cost is no object within reason. Thanks.

ebay has a lot of parts for Remington 512 rifles. BTW, I had a Remington 512 and it was one of my most accurate rifles.

If someone hasn't put a P barrel on a standard receiver, your receiver should have two tapped holes on the left rear. Sights show up on Ebay frequently, but question the seller on stripped threads.
http://www.aperturesnmore.com/ is the best place to get replacement apertures and parts.
Joe is a great guy to deal with, and if he doesn't have it, he'll go out of his way to custom make it for you. His replacements are exact duplicates.

http://www.garyfellers.com Gary Fellers is like Jack First, unpleasant to deal with, and over priced, but he'll have it when no one else does.

I could find an obit for Gary Lee Fellers (5/7/21) of SC, but nothing for Gary Preston Fellers of Ft. Worth, TX. He was in his early 80's, and was having severe memory problems, and I just saw his website is gone, so maybe.
Ebay has two of the sights up for auction at the moment.

This is what you're looking for.

It attaches on the left side with 2 screws. The rear screw doubles as the larger (or smaller) rear aperture.

Look on Ebay. They're hard to find and not cheap.

Search for 'remington peep'. The same sight was used for several different rifles.

The Remington 500 series rifles are fantastic shooters. My daughter went Distinguished Expert with a slightly modified (by me ) 511, and I went Distinguished Expert with a CMP bought 513T.
