Anyone here own a Tikka T1x?

If so, how do you like it and what do you think of the current prices?

Interesting. Let me check that channel...

I wonder what kind of optic you'd be putting on a .22LR precision rifle.

I have one and like it. I got from Sportsman's late last year, not sure what the prices are doing....are they going nuts?

I put a SWFA fixed 10 power on it I can hit steel at 300 yards when the wind isn't blowing. I changed the grip to the more vertical grip from Tikka, it didn't cost much. I really like it.

Prices are around $600 plus fees. It’s just been much more enjoyable shooting manual arms that i am looking into getting at least one bolt action and revolver in each of my favorite calibers. From what i have discovered about these .22’s I don’t see a reason I would not be happy owning one.

Update...well went for it and secured me a NEW Tikka T1X .22lr in 16”. It is the only one I have seen for sale so I didn’t want to take a chance. I know most that buy T1X’s are going for the 20” but this will be for one of prepper/bug out kits. Thank you to everyone who contributed their thoughts...truly appreciate it.

Congrats I think those are tough to find. Barrel length in a 22lr is only really advantageous depending on what speed ammo you use if you want to stay subsonic. Otherwise pretty inconsequential.

MongooseV8, thank you. I’d only read of the 16” version but never seen one for sale until today. I primarily use CCI Mini Mags and Aguila as they are what I was buying most of in .22lr. Bass Pro has HERTERS but don’t know much about them. Any suggestions on a fairly decent scope...this will be for varmint and as a little woods gun so up to 75 yards.

I like mine, got it from Sportsman's Warehouse last year in 17HMR, added KRG Bravo stock and Timney two stage trigger.

Congrats, I would be happy with the 16", I've just never seen one in person.

MyOdessa, that is one super sexy rifle...may even copy you if that’s okay.
Wheellock, I’ve been searching and searching for a 16” and none of the shops had ever heard of one. I had also been looking on gunbroker just about every 5 minutes for over a year and today it happened. There it was on gunbroker, with only 10 views, I had to read through the description a few times to confirm what I was looking at lol.

Sweet rifle! 16" is sweet! I'd like a t1x one day, and the 16" is what I would want for sure. I have a 16.5 CZ 457 pro varmint and its money. At the time I was 50/50 tikka vs cz...the cz happened to be available.

Shorter barrels are good to go.
Not a current picture, but you get the message.

Peahi2, those are some fine looking rifles. I almost bought the 20” ten times over but kept feeling like it wasn’t for me.
