Best 22LR Ammo

I use Wolf Match Target with a .22 conversion kit in a Rock River NM A2 upper and the resulting groups at 25 yards are (for me) breathtaking. Just sitting down Indian style.

Those of us that have competed for USA Shooting and gone through the qualifications to be eligible for the Olympic Games have done this for years.

Eley has a testing facility in Winters, TX as well.

My rifles vary. Some like Eley some like Lapua.

Holy cow, thank you for sharing. I know you top guys have been doing it for years and years but that's pretty awesome for us basic "PRS/NRL" style shooters.

When I was shooting rimfire bench rest (ARA) at my club, we all invested in a bunch of match ammo from Eley, Lapua, Wolf match Extra and others. Most of us found that Eley Black Box match shot best. Most of us have tuners so we could dial in for a specific load. While some got to the point of loads from certain machines and even lots, most of us found that with tuners, we could get certain velocity ranges to shoot best in our rifle. For me, that was 1058-1059 FPS velocity. ( I have a Rem 40X with tuner, Jewell trigger, etc.) Rimfires will drive you crazy, though, as you still get a rare flyer.
Prior to this rifle, I had a CMP Kimber 82 G without a tuner and with an 8 oz trigger. Surprisingly, it shot Wolf Match Extra better than any other brand. I did buy a case of that lot!
The process with going to Lapua or Eley to try out several of their lots is a great one.

Ya barrel tuners are a bit old school but the new ones seem to be a wave of the future. To make almost any lot of ammo shoot.
