Ruger 10/22 shoot .22 SHORT...special Magazine?

Doubt shorts would cycle without a weaker spring. CCI quiet won't cycle in one of my 10-22s. Didn't try it in the other two.

Several years ago Ruger (or somebody else) sold a .22 short conversion kit, which included the aforementioned weaker spring. I should have bought one at the time, but didn't, and I haven't seen one in years.

That's an interesting product but you can make it for next to nothing according to the YouTube video link below.

I know a lot of people want the best professionally made adapter that will work good enough or you can try to get your money back if it doesn't but if you're on a budget or don't have a lot of .22 short ammo here is a video on YouTube of a pretty simple and very low-cost way of adapting any standard Factory Ruger 10-round magazine/the type that come apart which most do even if you haven't ever realized it.

Interesting to see if this works. Aguilla Super are 20gr. Their shorts are 29gr. Per the website. Supers are regular size case with a soft lead pointed tip. Being trying unsuccessfully to get them to run in 1022. Even bought a Firefly bolt. No luck yet.

The Aguilia Sniper Subsonic ammo is the same length as a LR, but uses the .22 short case. Very quiet in my experience.
