On the production line at Ruger and probably already spoken for.

On a serious note have not seen one for sale in a shop in quite a while. Heck I’m looking for a regular old Ruger American (22lr) with an 18” barrel (no irons) and can’t find one anywhere.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Martin B. Retting in Culver City had a few magpul/Tac Sol 10/22 takedowns in stock when I was in there last week. Could probably send them an email or give them a call.

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

It's not magpul , but you can always buy that as an upgrade.

Don't remember exact prices, but around $1,000 I think. They had like 4 or 5 on the wall.

That’s MSRP for the Tac Sol X-Ring takedowns. Quite a bit higher end than the standard 10/22 takedown though.

I got one! It's a regular takedown with tapered 16.4" barrel and flash hider for $440.

What mods should I get for it?!

I'm picking between the magpul 10/22 backpack takedown colors.

Mag lever and bolt? Links for them?

There's no end to the mods available. One thing to consider is not all aftermarket parts play well together, I had an aftermarket bolt that wouldn't work with the aftermarket trigger, but both worked well with stock Ruger parts.

An auto bolt release, or trigger pack that incorporates it, is definitely one that I think is most impactful in terms of regular usability. A trigger upgrade is also quite nice, unfortunately the more reasonably priced options like a Ruger bx are mostly out of stock.

                              Congrats!
Start with the bolt release. Only mod I have done. I also added a cheap red dot.
Adjusted the takedown tension screw and been enjoying it since.

May consider the buffer at some point, but honestly after shooting the AR a few times I dont notice the 10/22 bolt clunk any more.

Get lots of spare mags, you blow through them quick when plinking. I got a companion Ruger American Rimfire 22 with a scope, use the same mags. Nice pair, one for quick plinking and one for slower more precise work.
