10/22 magazine reassembly?

Is there a trick to reassembly? Having difficulty with the end of
spring catching in the hole on center screw when reassembling;

Carousel spins freely, driving me nucking futz...

i only took apart one once and it went back together ok i think i preloaded it one full turn

I do this by hand.

When all parts are together, hold the allen side (in) with left hand index finger. (push in) (if your right handed)

With right hand start turning the nut side. As soon as, the spring in is in index (in hole). Reset, & prepare to make a full (or as far as you can go) turn (in one pass). When you complete this turn press that nut side in. the nut will lock into the recessed nut spot.

At this point it will kind of hold together, while you tighten the allen side. (not to over tighten thought).
