    Buckmark owners Hegis Spring Flip

Super easy to do reduces trigger pull to about 3lbs, greatly reduced my groups.

What's the point of competition if anyone can reduce their trigger pull indefinitely. All the idpa and usppa competition should have a new rule, no trigger pull less than 4 lb, now let's see who's the king.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, depending on the individual spring. Lot's of info on this over at Rim Fire Central in the Browning Forum. It worked on my 1985, by the way when I did it about 15 years ago. TandemKross makes a drop in improvement to the stock spring.

I’ll have to check the trigger pull on my UDXplus, never put my gauge on it. But I always thought the set of the pants weight was between 3.5 and 4. Not sure I want it any less, but neat and simple trick.

Extensive info on this mod at RimfireCentral.com.

Did this on my Camper and got a trigger pull in the 2s. Approach with caution.

It didn't work on my early 90's Buckmark. Caused light primer strikes.

I’m wanting a stronger faster reset. The pull weight is fine. Maybe a complete take down of the gun will help? Other spring options?

While flipping the spring around might work, it's not the right way to do the job.

Flipping the spring makes the spring work backwards.
You always use a torsion spring to apply force that causes the spring to wind MORE.
Flipping the spring now uses the torsion spring to create force by UNWINDING.

A better option than reversing the spring would be to simply change the angle of the spring so it has less preload but it is still working in the correct orientation.
The best solution is a replacement spring with a lower spring rate.
