    Remington 552 BDL speedmaster value

I see that the Remington 552 BDL Speedmasters have gone up in value from when I got mine. I see them on GB ranging from $600 to $900, mine has the box and manual. A guy on the local forum offered me $400 and I accepted before realizing that they are bringing a lot more these days.

Am I a jerk if I back out of the deal and try for the higher GB value? I suspect with the box and very nice condition it'll bring at least $600.

The deal was supposed to go down next weekend.

Wow prices are crazy I see one bidding at $1200+ Don't think its any better than mine if offered $600 plus I'd have to let it go.
Your kind of between a rock and hard place but I can't advise you. Good Luck.

I would say, you should stick to your word..I know personally I would be obligated to. But that is I, not you..Up to you..No one else.

I just picked up this very nice condition second year production I think, 1959. For 340.00 at the local show yesterday. More than I wanted to pay..But is a very good example for a earlier one..

I think they are probably the best .22 Semi Auto ever built. Even better than my Marlins. That is hard to admit too,LOL

They are scary accurate and very, very dependable.

        Couple pics of mine..

Prices on our local gun exchange for guns AND ammo PPT are normally lower and more reasonable than Gunbroker.
Advertised prices are assumed to be honored.

              Exactly!

The buyer agreed to your price and you accepted it!

              Honor your word.

Sell him the gun for $400.

Its your fault for not doing your homework reference the price before you offered it for sale. Accept it, keep your word & move on!

                Thanks

It is a pretty nice one for a early example.
