    Short breech cleaning?

How do you clean a short breech? All my 22 brushes are too long and I don't want to reverse the brush before it's completely into the breech or out of the barrel. Thx.

I have pistol brushes in a few calibers that work when cleaning revolvers from the muzzle. The brushes are shorter than rifle brushes of the same caliber.

Not sure if this is the answer, as I wasn't sure of your question.

Yes it does! Where did you find them? I have a short Otis brush but I can't find a rod that works with it. Thanks!

I've changed my cleaning methods to using bore snakes for all of my guns (long arms as well as handguns). These are caliber specific and are made in short lengths for handguns. They work very well and are very easy to use.

Thanks; that may be the way to go. I have a Hoppes snake for 22 and it seems to work. I'll try it after my next day at the range, then run a patch to see how well the snake cleans.

Get a long brush meant for 22 rifle and put a 90 bend in the middle.

Slide it in sideways and wiggle it around.

Now why didn't I think of that. And for the barrel, I'll use the snake and every now and then I'll remove the barrel for cleaning. Thanks!
