    .22lr Shooting sling

I've been interested in learning proper shooting techniques with my 795 and I've since learned about proper sling usage, apparently the surplus G.I. web sling and leather competition($) types are the ones to get but I was wondering about other options.

I was looking at this since it comes with swivels, but I'm not sure if it's the right type. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Just add 1.25" swivels to your rifle and stick with the GI cotton or nylon sling. It will allow you to shoot very stable in standing/sitting/prone positions.
    USGI Issue slings

Also, look for an appleseed shoot in your area, very good instruction on the basics of marksmanship.
    Appleseed info
Check out the 'shoots, meets, range reports' forum here on calguns also. There are some CA specific ones listed there.

Thanks for the info, I guess I should just stick with the old school GI one then, too bad my lgs only has the expensive leather type in stock!
