    Conversion kit for cz/beretta

Thinking about picking up a 22 l.r. Conversion kit for my cz or beretta

With the price of ammo seems like this is the way I should go.

    Any comments on either kit.

    Accuracy wise.

    Thanks

I have a kit for my 92FS, made in Italy The later ones are made in Germany, probably by Umarex. The plastic Italian magazines aren't worth a crap, the feed lips are too short and cause constant stove-piping during feeding. I bought a couple of the German metal mags from Midway, they look better and have a longer feed lip. I haven't field tested them yet.

I ordered one from Beretta for my 92FS, then cancelled the order after reading some less than glowing reviews. I would be interested to hear your experience if you do end up buying one.

I have the Beretta (Umarex) conversion. I had to do a little fitting to get it to fit, but once I got it together I have been very happy with it. With quick, but aimed, shots at 11-12 yards I shot a group of 10 shots in about 2" (standing, two hands, last Wednesday). I use it sometimes for 2 gun rimfire competition.

Beretta's web site will have 30% off sales sometimes so you can catch a break on the price.

In that case grab a Ruger Mk 1 or mk2 off the classifieds. Bull barrel.

+! for the Kadet kit. It's the best aftermarket accessory i've ever bought for any gun, hands down. It makes my SP01 shoot like my Model 41 - and it's more reliable and eats more different ammo than my Model 41 does too!

                    I also agree with Hangunther,
The Kadet II is definitely less finicky on ammo types than my Model 41 and my high standard trophy.

I also should probably amend my previous post that my Ruger Mk III Hunter 6.88 has a red dot, which may give it the edge on accuracy.

Still I carry my Cz Sp01 and additionally my Kadet II on EVERY range trip. If I had to choose one platform that would be it. And I think plinking those .22lrs have improved my grip and trigger for when I switch slide back to 9mm.

Before I bought mine I tried another persons at the range. He had a CGW job done one his base SP01 and it was a tack driver.

The Kadet Kit is awesome, great add to any CZ. Just hard to find, and the mags are $$

+1 on the CZ Kadet II. They have a different version for the SP01 than for the CZ 85, so watch for that. I have the SP01 version and it did not require any custom fitting and works great.

This was a good way to transition my oldest from .22 to 9mm as they were familiar with the controls already since it's the same base gun.
