3 most popular 22 semiauto rifles?

Obviously a Ruger 10-22 is one.

    What are the others? IDK
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I don't know how it is today but for the longest time the Marlin 60 was the Ruger 10/22 closest competitor.

A friend had one and it was accurate and reliable but I never really liked the tube feeding because of several of its negatives. It's slow and inexperienced shooters sometimes point the barrel in the wrong (unsafe or at least breaking some of the primary rules of gun safety) direction just to load it. Can't carry spare mags for quick loading , Etc. Etc.

When I saw a YouTube video from a small gun store that does repair comparing the design weaknesses of the Marlin compared to the Ruger it convinced me that the Ruger is the best choice.

AR style: M&P 15-22 gets a lot of likes.

Years ago a lot of people really enjoyed the Browning SA 22.
Sure it's more expensive and always has been, I think they are approximately around $600 these days, but it's one of those guns that holds its value if you take care of it.

And it's a Browning classic that is supposedly very well balanced with a light receiver and barrel. It also has bottom eject, something you just don't see on modern guns.

I think the Chinese were making copies that probably were at least reliable if not as beautiful as the Browning FN models but of course China can't import guns to the US anymore.

I think in terms of total historical sales, the Marlin 60 is the all time leader. Last I heard they had made over 11 million. I think the Ruger 10/22 is second on the list but it would not surprise me if some day it surpassed the Marlin 60 to become number one.

Third place? I dunno. Remington Nylon 66 with just over 1 million made? But they stopped making those decades ago. Of currently produced semi-auto 22lr rifles I would guess the S&W M&P 15-22.

                        The first two is easy
                        (1) Marlin 60
                        (2) Ruger 10/22
                        (3) This is a tough one, I guess lever action, combine of ALL 22LR lever action (Win, Henry).

The Marlin 60 holds the all time sales records. But with the bankruptcy of Remington, we'll see if the model 60 is resurrected or not by Ruger. If they don't, the Ruger 10/22 will take over in short order.
