In a pistol, even a 22lr, putting a threaded barrel on your pistol will convert your gun into an assault weapon. You can cut off the threaded portion and then it would be legal. The Walther P22 created quite a stir about 17 years ago because it was approved with a threaded barrel that was not caught by DOJ and subsequently was recalled and sent to Walther to be fixed. If you put a threaded barrel on a pistol you have committed a felony.

Since the OP keeps posting the same ad in wrong forums, instead of deleting this thread, it is being kept as a discussion of what is legally allowed in CA.

          ...

Because there is no rimfire exemption to CA assault weapons laws for pistols, it is illegal for a semi-auto rimfire pistol that does not have a fixed magazine to have a threaded barrel.

          This means...

The threaded barrel kit (complete barrel/slide) by itself is CA legal.
It is also, currently, CA legal to advertise it for sale in CA and transfer it in CA.
However, due to convictions for "attempted possession of assault weapons" in CA, it is prudent to not store or transport it with a semi-auto pistol that can utilize it.

In order to legally install it on a semi-auto pistol, that does not have a fixed magazine, in CA...

          Option A.
The muzzle device (thread protector, etc) is permanently attached to the barrel.

Permanent methods of attachment include full-fusion gas or electric steel-seam welding, high-temperature (1100o F) silver soldering, or blind pinning with the pin head welded over.

          Option B.
The threads on the threaded barrel are removed.

Not everyone on the forum is kalifornicated. I'm looking for something like this, or a pistol with threaded muzzle.
