    AR-15 .22LR conversion help

I am looking to polish the feed ramp on the .22LR conversion that i have for my AR. It functions decently but the feed ramp looks pretty rough. My question is what is the best way to polish the feed ramp to make it feed more reliably. Thanks for your input I appreciate it.

Are you sure you're problem is with the feed ramp? Most .22 rimfire feeding problems I've encountered have more to do with the magazine than anything else. The feed lips control whether or not the round is properly aligned with respect to the chamber.

When I got my first Unit 1 Marvel .22 Conversion, I spent hours tuning some other Colt magazines to feed as well as the one from Marvel. I had similar problems way back with a Hamden High Standard Victor. I bought some new magazines that just wouldn't feed. I finally got the lips in spec so they worked.

Before you polish the feedramp, check your magazines first. If you remove too much metal, you may ruin the gun.

The mags are BDM 10 rounders. They feed fine but I'm just saying the feed ramps look a little rought and I want to polish them up

        mother's mag & aluminum polish

try some 2000 grit sand paper and some mother's mag&aluminum wheel polish.

toss some of the polish on the sand paper to get it wet then rub on the ramp slowly. then clean off with a micro fiber rag. inspect the ramp.

all this stuff is in the automotive section at Walmart
