Old Marlin Model 80 Extractor Problem

I have an old Marlin Model 80 I took out to shoot today, I had it couple years never shot it and decided to sell it and I wanted to make sure it works. It shot great but after about 3 rounds the extractor quit ejecting the case, the case would just be stuck to extractor. I would have to release the magazine and hit the casing with my hand. I would also work the bolt back and forth a few times and it would finally spit out the case. Is it a common problem and is there an easy fix?

    Thanks

I am not familiar with the mod 80 but it has been my experience that many extraction/ejection problems are caused by debris, oil/grease residue in extractor/ejector -- A good cleaning could solve the problem if nothing is obviously broken --
