does anyone knows anything about this

saw a you tube video where a guy put a 22 pellet gun pellet in his 22 rifle and pushed a nail gun 22 blank in behind it. he got very fast ft. per second and accuracy at 25 yards. i cant understand why the pellet didnt strip out and the nail gun cartridge didnt hurt the gun as it is so powerful. anybody ever see anyone do this? is it dangerous? seems to me it would be but what do i know?

You know enough to ask so I will give you credit for that as a minimum.

IIRC, many of those kinds of blanks are corrosive.

That is something I have always wondered about. Pretty crazy how that thing blasts through the metal like that. I struggled watching though because it seems like they are shooting away from the backstop. My anxiety got the best of me and I shut it off.

Needs to be chronographed to see what the performance difference is.

It’s a “Ramset” or powder actuated tool. It’s for driving pins into concrete or steel.

                    I wouldn’t do it.

Sounds like someone trying DESPERATELY to break a .22 rifle.
