Sling without drilling?

    Sling without drilling?

    Does anyone make a sling for a .22 rifle (older Winchester) that would not require drilling into the wood? I know not drilling into the wood would mean a much less secure mount, but is there any compromise worth trying?

    I have an inexpensive- off of Ebay- sling I use on my shotgun. Slips over the back of the stock and slips around the front of the barrel. It is secure enough that I carry it while pig hunting. The design would fit almost any rifle.

        There are a couple of good ways to mount slings without drilling, usually with webbing loops or paracord.
