.22lr through a .22mag

Marlin only recommended 5 Rounders in the 922M..

I think maybe the first year they came out..They may have been sold with 7 rounders..That somehow caused problems if I remember correctly..So hence they went with the 5s only. I have never tried any 7 rounders in my Marlin..And will likely not.

Feed angle seems to be a little fidgety, my guess would be because of the length to diameter ratio of the round.

The Excel had to have a bit of cleanup work on the feed ramp, the Razor just plain tends to go nose high and wedge tail down part way into the chamber with anything other than the 9 round stock Ruger mags - the extended ones are hit and miss, getting stuck randomly through the mag. I suspect I could get 'em running with a little polish on the lower edge of the chamber now I think about it...
