10/22 Kidd trigger group vs. Brimstone tier two mods

I bought a complete Kidd single stage trigger group, and sent another trigger group to Brimstone for their tier two mods.

The Kidd trigger group is clean and crisp, and well made. The Brimstone tier two mods SUCK.

There's so much creep, I can literally creep the trigger, reset the hammer and hear it click. I've emailed them about returning it.

It's unacceptable in it's current state.

Questions? Comments? Anybody want to buy me lunch?

I thought your Brimstone package got lost in the mail?
Was the stock T/C trigger better and Brimstone?

Kinda, I sent my T/C trigger group to Brimstone, and they said the hammer spring got lost. The only way for that to happen was for someone to open the box, unwrap the trigger group, and pull the trigger.

If your brimstone trigger sucks that bad to you then you're either highly picky which is extremely possible based off of all of the posts that I see from you, or they just didn't do it right which is also a possibility. if you're not happy, send it back because brimstone does excellent work
I went with their tier two because I wanted a green trigger. It's light, but has more creep in it than Knots Scary Farm.

It's going back on Monday. And I think it's only 30 bucks more than tier three.

All my 10/22s have Kidd triggers - two Trigger Job kits, a single stage complete, and three two-stages. The Trigger Jobs came first, and I was and am impressed with the quality of the kit and the consistency of the results.
I didn't want a "custom" trigger modification by a gunsmith - Brimstone, CPC or anyone else.. I wanted to know exactly what was done to my triggers, and I enjoy tinkering. Kidd's YouTube videos were a strong selling point, as well. The excellent results with the Trigger Jobs piqued my interest enough to buy a Single Stage Complete, then two Two Stages and a Supergrade barreled action, as well as a bunch of bolt handle/guide rod assemblies, scope bases, and a couple of magazine plungers. Every part has been perfect in every way.

Are you in the OC area? Anybody want to see this trigger before I send it back?

Kidd put out a video on his triggers years back which sold me on anything and everything he does - I now have what is essentially an complete Kidd rifle, including the receiver & the only thing that is Ruger on it is the stock.
I have the two stage trigger which is awesome but I wouldn't mind swapping it out for a single stage

I'd be all over that, but my Single Stage complete is in my grandson's Compact - and he loves it. I'd buy you a new SSC and trade you out, but then I'd have to build another rifle.....

Not sure about Brimstone but the Kidd ones are a complete trigger pack, not just a reworked one using the loose factory housing. Try wiggling the hammer on the Kidd side to side and then try that with the others. That movement affects lock time and induces errors down range. There is a reason why Kidds are so much.
FYI, I don't shoot .22s anymore but if I did , it would have a Kidd trigger in it.

Ditto. Also a big fan of Kidd triggers here for my 10/22s.

Especially for the ones I'm going to be carrying out in the woods--I'm sure Brimstone is decent and all, but I personally don't want my trigger group to be hacked up by some part-time gunsmith in his garage. I'll take a trigger group that was designed and fabricated from the ground up by Kidd.
