    Dedicated 17 HMR AR Upper?

Any know a company that makes a dedicated 17 HMR upper? I think the HMR round is more lethal and fun to shoot than the 22LR round. Be nice to have both.

    thanks

Alexander arms. They had one at the SHOT show this year but im not sure if it ever went into production yet. You will have to call and find out.

Plus, it would be fun at 200 yards and you could have as many evil features as you want (other than OAL and barrel length) since its rimfire.

^^ I saw that in their 2009 catalog, but I've yet to see any dealer carries it. I also sent them an email, still waiting for a response.

Not sure when they'll produce it. I hope it succeeds ... that way, maybe other companies will start producing 17 hmr uppers as well.

Need to double check that they offer a 10 round mag too. It only shows 20 rounders

Does the 17 fit in existing 22lr mags, or are all new mags needed.

The 17 is a much longer round, wont work in existing lr mags. Here is a good chart http://www.varminter.com/images/rimfirecomp.jpg
