question on Eley Action ammo ?

Anybody shoot the Eley Action ammo yet ? how accurate compare to CCI MiniMag, Federal ... ? Any difference of this Eley Action (SV) and Action Plus (HV) ?

Calamity likes it. He's got a spot that gets it in stock for non gouging pricing. I'd grab it if I could find it at this point. Never heard anything bad about it other than pricing.

I know a lot of the bench rest guys use it along with wolf.

I haven't used it though first hand. What are you going to shoot it out of?

Wolf is too expensive, I cannot afford to shoot Wolf or SK or Eley but Eley Action.
Will shoot with from most likely to least likely: SW Mod 41, Henry Golden Boy, Ruger Mark II, Buckmark Lite, Ruger 10/22 ..... and about 10 more, depend on my mood.

Everytime I read Camality post, jump to that website right away (for two times) they was OOS, I am too late.

Eley is a very expensive .22 ammo, they are the Olympic ammo, they are in the same league (and price) with Lapua, SK, Wolf, they are about 15 cent a pop (pre-Covid price). But THIS ELEY ACTION is about the same price as MiniMag, That why it make a debut.

I bought a bunch of it about 2 years ago and my Annie 54 Sporter really likes it. I haven't shot it side by side with many others though.

Every .22 rimfire has its preferences. It may not shoot any better than comparably priced ammo. Then again, your gun may love it. My Remington 40X loves Eley, particularly those lots that run about 1058 FPS. My Kimber 82G loves Wolf Match Extra and does not shoot Eley that well. In my experience, you just get fewer flyers with more expensive ammo. The less espensive Eley ammo performs like comparably priced ammo. There is no free ride.
The picture is just one that I have on my computer. It is not the best I have ever shot, but somewhat representative of 5 shot Eley groups at 50 yards from my 40X. I do not get groups like that with any other ammo and I have spent a small fortune trying.

To give an idea of how well Eley shoots, check this out. They give out VERY few 5,000 round cases. Plus, it's fun.

Supposedly Eley primer compound is the “most reliable” in the world.

I remember that Remington had a line of rimfire ammo that had Eley primer.

For some reason I seem to remember Aguila uses Eley primer material, but I can’t swear to that.

Wolf and SK target ammo was loaded for them by Lapua, but I do not know if it still is. The case I have of Wolf Match Extra was.
