    Hex key?

I am changing out the sights on my Buckmark, (again) & can't find the hex key i used in the past. I have quite a number of hex tools but the one i need is not to be found. It is a Tactical Solutions rail. Thanks Den

Looks ford to me too. Although I have managed to use a hex key in a ford head before. Luckily the bolt was tough and my hex key cheap so there was no deforming.

Well That would explain why i couldn't find the hex key, I am pretty particular when it comes to tools and not finding the hex tool is unusual. (Getting old has its advantage) Thanks, i haven't tried the torx but I think you nailed it!

I have the same rail on my Buckmark, it is a 3/32" hex or allen.
Not a torx, I'm sure you could jam a torx in there but would probaly strip it out.

Thanks, & you are correct I think I could jam a torx in there, I didn't, I am off to the tool store for a 3/32. I put the rail on when I added the scope, & I don't remember using a tork (although i don't remember a lot of things!!) Thanks to all who took the time!!

In my neighborhood, I could walk into NAPA or the nearest hardware store and take the gun in with me.

Is that something you could do?

Thanks , Ya, that is a good idea & I did think about it, I'm a Minnesota transplant & back there that is what i would have done, here in CA, I'm not so sure!! I did find that the 3/32 hex worked well on the rail, but did not work on the front site base. (I am removing the scope, & going with open sights & would like a fiber optic on the front) I did a search on the web and found a lot of info on the front sight, several places that sell them but no info on the tool to remove it. I will be going back to the tool store and get a set of metric hex. and see if one of those will fit,
Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it.

I just by accident came across this, it looks like i need a 1/16"

Hex (Allen) wrenches (these are the L-shaped metal wrenches with six flat sides)
1/16" hex wrench (front sight post set screw)
5/64" hex wrench (screw on underside of top rail that holds rear sight to the rail)
3/32" hex wrench (top rail screws on some models (Plus UDX), grip screws on UDX models, sear spring adjusting screw on Target & Silhouette models)
7/64" hex wrench (barrel screw) OR 3mm hex wrench filed down to match your barrel screw head
                      1/8" hex wrench
9/64" hex wrench (top rail screws on some models (Hunter))

I have the camper stainless URX model with factory fiber optic front sight.
The screw for my front sight is also 3/32" hex or allen, the same as the rail.

Yes, the 3/32 worked well on the rail (I Thank you for that) & at first glance it looked good for the front sight, however it is just a little loose, it will just barley grab. I'm thinking a metric might fill the bill. I salute you for your service!
