Call Walther (S&W) customer service. They have 'em and have been known to provide them at very little expense.

Give a holler out in the walther section of rimfirecentral.com as well.

I haven't checked the front sight on my P22, but on my G22, it's not very tight in its dovetail, and can easily be pushed from side to side with your fingers - no tools needed. I could see losing it at the range.

ETA: I just checked, and it pries right out of the slot with a bit of fingernail action. There's just a thin little split plastic tab that holds it in the slot, and it rocks back and forth pretty easily. Now that I've taken it out and in a few times, I'm getting a little worried about losing it at the range. The other sights (a 2 and a 4) have little ridges at the bottom to lock it into place, but they've already worn away on the #3 that's in it. I've never had it out before, but I guess the guy before me did (or it wore away the 3 times I took it out).

Looks like the best method for P22 sight selection is to figure out which one works best, then either glue it in, or get a new one, snap it in, and never remove it again.

Oh, well, another strike on the P22 construction. I'll make a note of the number for when it disappears and I need another.

answer for keeping the front sight in place

The P22 is very similar to the P99, SW99, and the SW990 when it comes to front sights. The only difference is that the larger caliber pistols have a very small screw to expand the fingers on the sight where the P22 does not. There is a small hole for the screw but it does not have one. If you place a SW99 screw in the sight it will not fall out again. You have to be careful not to over torque the screw though cause it will strip and you will have to replace it again and as you found it is not easy to come by them. I found mine through S&W. I ordered the #2 from the P22 to replace my SW990's front sight and also added a screw for my P22. Here is the number I used 800-331-0852. It worked perfect and I havent had a problem since. I hope this helps.
