Did not like MK1 at all and sold it.

My favorite Ruger also happens to be my first ever pistol. Bought my MKII new in 1985, still runs like a champ after thousands of rounds.

How is the lock up between the upper barrel assembly and the lower grip frame? Is there a lot of play? Thanks.

It is depend where do you live. If you live in Commifornia , when you hold a Ruger Mark in your hand then you are "the Hot boy in the block", particular the one with a pivot screw on top of the trigger guard, no accessory necessary. If you live in the free State then ........ don't know
